Hello

I'm Katherine G. Pe and I develop web and mobile applications.

By nature, I am dynamic, versatile and practical. I have also worked as a designer but I consider myself design-challenged. I am a senior web application developer in the sense that I have worked as a technical lead or team lead and have mentored other developers in the past. I constantly seek other mentors in the open source community. Things change quickly and we should not be judged by years of experience. But if that matters, I have about 9 valid years of experience in freelance web application development. My first projects were community sites developed using Drupal for U.S client and some Wordpress sites. I no longer use Drupal.

Polygot

I do consulting work and often flexible enough to learn and use languages other than Ruby. I also use Objective-C, Lua and JavaScript a lot. I use Ruby and will continue to do so not solely for the simplicity of the language but for the progressive community that supports it.

Ruby on Rails

I have more than enough experience in Ruby on Rails and software development after working several different startups over the years. Apart from Ruby on Rails, I use Sinatra, Cuba and Node.js for web projects.

During my free time, I code, read and write a lot. This is my personal blog. My other interests include travel, psychology (I have read quite a lot on the subject), business (I completed a business course and majored in Financial Management), music and design.
